अगर आपने किसी की profile खोली, Following दबाया, और figure out करने की कोशिश की कि उन्होंने कौनसा account सबसे recently follow किया — आपने problem already discover कर ली है। Instagram की Following list time से sorted नहीं है। आपकी नहीं, किसी की नहीं।

Instagram पर "Following" actually क्या है

किसी भी Instagram profile का Following tab हर account दिखाता है जिसे वो user follow करता है। Public count नहीं है कब हर follow हुआ, timeline view नहीं, "इस हफ्ते" filter नहीं — बस एक long list।

Ranking के पीछे के signals

इससे दो चीजें निकलती हैं:

  1. अलग viewers अलग orders देखते हैं एक ही profile की Following list के लिए। Ranking partly personalized है।
  2. एक newly followed account कहीं भी land कर सकता है — खुद follow की freshness strong signal नहीं है।

Tracking purposes के लिए यह क्यों परेशान करने वाला है

अगर आप common reasons में से किसी के लिए Following list use कर रहे हैं — partner check करना, creator watch करना, competitor monitor करना — तो algorithm actively आपके खिलाफ काम कर रहा है। List पर पहले names "the latest follows" नहीं हैं, "आप, viewer, के लिए सबसे relevant accounts" हैं।

यह ऑफिशियल Instagram ऐप को chronological tracking के लिए effectively unusable बनाता है। आप नहीं कर सकते:

  • Follow date से sort।

Chronological view पाना
