What IGExport does and does not do

IGExport (igexport.com) offers tools that let a person save a public Instagram or Threads post they already have the link to.

We do not host or store videos, photos or audio. When someone pastes a link, our server looks up the address where Instagram itself serves that file and passes the address back. The person's browser then downloads the video or audio directly from Instagram's servers; it does not pass through igexport.com. Small preview thumbnails and profile pictures are relayed through our server and cached temporarily so the browser can display them. We do not keep a library of anyone's content.
Our pages do not publish third-party works. Tool pages contain only our own text, interface and images. A preview of a post appears only in the browser of the person who pasted its link.
Public content from Instagram and Threads only. The tools cannot access private accounts, and they do not accept links from YouTube, TikTok or other platforms.
No licensed songs. The audio tool does not convert licensed music to MP3 — not the full track, not the part heard in a Reel, and not a song mixed into a Reel's "original audio". Only creators' own original sounds can be saved.

IGExport is an independent service and is not affiliated with Instagram, Threads or Meta Platforms, Inc.

Your responsibility as a user

Downloading a file does not give you a license to it. Copyright stays with the person or company that owns the work. Re-uploading someone else's post, removing its credit or watermark, selling it, or using it in commercial or monetized content requires the rights holder's permission. Do not use our tools to infringe anyone's rights.

Sending a copyright notice

If you believe something on igexport.com infringes your copyright, contact us directly. It is the fastest way to get it resolved. Email support@igexport.com with the subject line Copyright Notice and include:

Your name, postal address, phone number and email address.
A description of the copyrighted work.
The exact URL on igexport.com you are concerned about, and what on that page you believe is your work. If your concern is that our tools can process specific Instagram posts or accounts, list those links as well.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Your physical or electronic signature.

What we do with a notice

We read every notice and reply to the sender. If a page on igexport.com itself contains material you own, we will remove it. Because igexport.com stores no media, there is usually no file on our side to take down; in that case we will tell you so and, where technically feasible, stop our tools from processing the specific Instagram content or accounts you identify.
