How to download a Threads video
Open the post in the Threads app or on threads.com, tap the share icon, and choose “Copy link”. Both link shapes work — the full threads.com/@user/post/… permalink and the short threads.com/t/… one the share sheet sometimes hands you.
Paste that link into the box above and press Download. Every file in the post comes back as its own thumbnail: play the video right there to check you have the right one, then save it.
It works the same on iPhone, Android, and desktop. Nothing to install, no account to connect, and the file lands in your normal downloads or camera roll.
Photos and mixed posts, not just video
A Threads post can hold a video, a picture, or several of both. All of them are resolved, so a post with a clip and three photos gives you four files rather than just the first one.
Images come back at the resolution Threads is serving — the original upload, not a re-compressed thumbnail and not a screenshot.
Files are numbered in post order, so a saved multi-file post stays in sequence in your downloads folder.
What this tool cannot do
Private accounts are off limits. If the poster's profile is private, or the post has been deleted, there is nothing to fetch and the tool will say so instead of pretending otherwise.
Downloading a public post does not notify the person who posted it. Threads does not tell anyone who saved their video, and this tool never touches your account or theirs.
Saving a post for yourself is not the same as being allowed to republish it. The video still belongs to whoever made it — credit them, and ask before reposting.
