Instagram Story Downloader
Paste a Story or Highlight link — or just a username — and save it in original quality. Works for any public account, on phone or desktop, without installing anything.
- Original quality, no watermark
- Never appears in their viewer list
- No login, no app install
- Stories and Highlights both
How to download an Instagram Story
Open the Story in Instagram, tap the share icon, and choose “Copy link”. Paste that link into the box above and press Download. The Story appears with a download button under each photo or video — including every frame if the account has posted several.
If you do not have a link, type the username instead. You will get everything that account has posted in the last 24 hours, and you can download any of it from the same screen.
Download Highlights, not just today's Stories
Stories disappear after 24 hours; Highlights are the ones pinned to a profile, and they stay. Both work here. Paste a Highlight link — the /stories/highlights/… kind, or the /s/… one the share sheet gives you — and it opens like any other Story.
To get the link, open the Highlight on the profile, tap the share icon or the “…” menu, and choose “Copy link”. A Highlight is a set, so you get every photo and video in it at once, each with its own download button.
How to download someone else's Story without an app
This page is the whole tool. There is nothing to install, nothing to sign in to, and no permission to grant — the Story is fetched and handed to you as a file, the same way your browser downloads anything else.
That matters more than convenience. An Instagram Story downloader that asks for your Instagram password is asking for the one thing it should never need: fetching a public Story requires no account at all. If a site wants your login before it will show you a public Story, close it.
Do you need an APK?
No. APK files for “story saver” apps are one of the most common ways Android phones pick up malware, because installing one means turning off the check that would normally stop it. A browser page cannot do that to you.
The one thing an app can legitimately do that a website cannot is sign in as you — which is the only way to reach Stories from private accounts you follow. That is a different job from downloading a public Story, and it is the job Recent Follow does.
Saving your own Story
If the Story is yours, you do not need this page at all: open your Story, tap the “…” menu at the bottom right, and choose “Save”. Instagram writes the original file straight to your camera roll, which is always better quality than anything a third party can fetch back.
Use this page for the ones that are not yours — a public account's Story you want to keep, or a Highlight you want before it is edited away.
What this can and cannot reach
Any public account works, on any device, with no account of your own. Private accounts do not — not here and not on any site that claims otherwise. If an account is private, the only honest routes are to follow them, or to sign in as yourself through the app if you already do.
Stories also genuinely expire. If a Story is more than 24 hours old and was never added to a Highlight, it is gone from Instagram's servers, and no downloader can bring it back.
Just want to watch, rather than save? Anonymous Instagram Story Viewer plays them in the browser without downloading. For a post or Reel instead of a Story, use the Instagram Video Downloader.
Following them, but the account is private?
A private account's Stories are out of reach for any website — including this one. Recent Follow by IGExport signs in with your own Instagram account, so Stories and Highlights from private accounts you already follow are there, and you never show up in their “Seen by” list.
- Stories and Highlights from private accounts you follow
- Save to your camera roll in original quality
- You stay out of the “Seen by” list
Frequently asked questions
- How do I download a Story?
- Paste the Story link into the box above, or type the account's username, then press Download. Each photo and video gets its own download button.
- How can I download someone else's Instagram Story without an app?
- Use this page in your browser. Nothing is installed and no login is needed — a public Story can be fetched without an Instagram account at all.
- Is there an APK for an Instagram story downloader?
- You do not need one. Sideloading an APK means disabling Android's install protection, which is exactly how “story saver” malware spreads. This page does the same job in your browser.
- Will they know I downloaded their Story?
- No. Nothing is sent to Instagram on your behalf, so you never appear in the viewer list and no notification is sent.
- Can I download Stories from a private account?
- Not from a website — that applies to every tool, not just this one. If you already follow the account, the app can show you their Stories and Highlights because it signs in as you.
- Does it work for Highlights?
- Yes. Paste a Highlight link — the long /stories/highlights/… form or the short /s/… one from the share sheet — and every photo and video in it gets its own download button.
