Is there an Instagram Wrapped?
Not an official one. Instagram doesn't put together a yearly recap of your activity, and the "recap" templates people share in Stories every December are filled in by hand.
What Instagram does give you is your data. Every account can download an export of its likes, comments, messages, follows and posts, and those files hold everything a Wrapped needs. This page reads that export and turns this year's part of it into cards you can look through and share.
How to download your Instagram data
Open Instagram, go to your profile and tap the menu in the top right. Tap "Accounts Center", then "Your information and permissions", then "Export your information". Tap "Create export", pick your account and choose "Export to device".
On the next screen, narrow down what goes in. Keep your activity (likes, comments, messages, story interactions and the content you posted) and your followers and following; everything else can go. Set the date range to cover this year, set the format to JSON (not HTML) and media quality to low, which keeps the file small. Then tap "Start export".
Instagram emails you when the export is ready, usually within a few hours and sometimes up to a day. Download the .zip and drop it in above. If it arrives in several parts, select all of them at once.
What your Instagram Wrapped shows
New follows: how many accounts you followed this year, the first one and the most recent ones. New followers: how many people started following you.
Likes and story likes: how many posts and stories you liked, and the five accounts you liked most. Comments: how many you wrote and whose posts got the most of them.
Chat Wrapped: how many messages went through your chats this year and the five conversations with the most. And what you posted: your posts, reels and stories.
Every number comes from a file in your export. If you switched a category off when you requested it, that card says so instead of showing zero.
Is it safe to use?
There is no login and no password anywhere on this page. Your export is opened by JavaScript in this browser tab: the zip is unpacked in memory, the counting happens on your device, and the cards are drawn on your screen. No part of the file is sent to us or anyone else.
That is the safe way to do it. Be wary of any "Instagram Wrapped" that asks you to sign in with your Instagram account: it is not reading an export, it is logging in as you.
Chat Wrapped: who you message the most
Your export includes your direct messages, one folder per conversation. The Chat Wrapped card counts this year's messages in each one and ranks them, so you can see who you actually talked to most, group chats included. The names stay on your screen unless you save the card as an image.

Is there an Instagram Wrapped?
There is no official Instagram Wrapped. You can make one yourself: download your Instagram data as JSON and drop it into this page, which counts this year's likes, messages, follows and posts in your browser.
How do I see my Instagram Wrapped 2026?
Request your data from Accounts Center → Your information and permissions → Export your information, with the format set to JSON. When Instagram emails you the file, open this page and drop the .zip in.
Is it safe to upload my Instagram data here?
Nothing is actually uploaded. The file is read inside your browser and never leaves your device, and the page never asks for your Instagram login.
Can I see who I message the most on Instagram?
Yes. The Chat Wrapped card ranks your conversations by how many messages they had this year, using the messages folder in your export.
Why is one of my cards empty?
Either that category was switched off when you requested the export, or there was no activity of that kind this year. The card tells you which one it is.
Does it work with the HTML export?
No. The page reads the JSON version. If you picked HTML, request a new export and set the format to JSON.
Can I see someone else's Instagram Wrapped?
No. An export only contains your own account's activity, and only you can request it.
