1. Overview

This policy explains how Recent Follow ("the App") and the Recent Follow web tool handle your data. Recent Follow is developed and operated by IGExport. With respect to Recent Follow, IGExport is your service provider and personal-data controller.

We built Recent Follow around a simple principle: it works with publicly available information only, it never asks for your Instagram password, and it never performs any action on your Instagram account.

3. Data we process

To deliver its features, Recent Follow processes the following:

  • Public Instagram information you look up: when you enter a public username, we retrieve publicly visible information about that account — such as its follows, followers, and the order in which they appear — and display it to you. This is the same information anyone can see when viewing a public profile.
  • Optional sign-in: viewing accounts you already follow may require authentication. Where this is needed, it goes through Instagram's own login flow. We never see or store your Instagram password.
  • Subscription and purchase records (Pro): handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never directly handle your payment card information.
  • Push notification token (Pro alerts only): if you enable instant notifications, your device's push token is used solely to deliver the alerts you requested.
  • Aggregate, anonymized usage and crash diagnostics: used to keep the app stable and improve features. This data is not used to identify you.

Recent Follow does not collect:

  • Your Instagram password (we never ask for it)
  • Your direct messages, private chats, or content from accounts you cannot already see
  • Your contacts, photos, or data from other apps on your device

4. How we use data

We process the data above only to:

  • Show you the public follow/follower activity and chronological view you requested
  • Generate CSV exports you initiate
  • Deliver Pro alerts you opted into, and maintain your subscription status
  • Keep the service stable and secure

We do not use your data for:

  • Selling or renting personal data to third parties
  • Advertising profiles or cross-platform tracking
  • Taking any action on your Instagram account on your behalf

5. Storage and security

  • Connections to our services use TLS-encrypted channels.
  • We retain only what is necessary to provide the service. Lookups are not used to build a profile of you.
  • Payment handling and subscription records are managed by Apple and Google, not by us.

6. Third-party services

Recent Follow relies on a small number of providers strictly to operate:

  • Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution, subscriptions, and payments.
  • Push notification delivery (Apple Push Notification service / Firebase Cloud Messaging) — only if you enable Pro alerts.
  • Analytics and crash reporting — aggregate, anonymized diagnostics.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms.

7. Data retention and deletion

You can request deletion of any account or subscription data we hold by emailing support@igexport.com. Public information you look up is not stored as a personal profile of you.

8. Children

Recent Follow is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@igexport.com.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
